Scale: Small - 4.5 acres
Completion: Spring 2023
When you have land, there is this desire to enjoy it, be outside in it, explore it. This client had about 4.5 acres of forestry dense with invasive brush. Due to the heavy undergrowth, the client couldn't access the back of the property, so we created about a 1/4 mile trail.

We followed the flat portions of land so the client could safely maintain it with a compact tractor and mulcher. We targeted unwanted species, such as honeysuckle, that were over-powering the natural setting. And we focused on dead ash trees, as well non-native red cedars hosting cedar apple rust.
It was a trail with purpose.
Conculsion
The ending trail offered space for more native trees to grow stronger, and receive necessary sunlight. It made it possible for the client and his family to explore and appreciate nature outside their door. The trail also allowed for access to the back of the property for supervision.
Forestry mulching leaves behind a perfect natural trail base that puts nutrients back into the environment without bringing in foreign matter that could potentially spread disease or invasive pests. Learn more about our forestry mulching service.
